Invest Nebraska promotes capital formation for, and provides operating assistance to, high impact entrepreneurs and investors in Nebraska. We celebrate the rich entrepreneurial spirit in our rural and urban areas. Together with the state's many entrepreneurs, we strive to make Nebraska a center for entrepreneurship and innovation.
Invest Nebraska Corporation is operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes. Such purposes include combating community deterioration and reducing the burden of government, by developing and maintaining programs and activities directed at encouraging the development, expansion, and growth of small business in order to provide enhanced employment opportunities in areas that have experienced economic decline and community deterioration.

Invest Nebraska's Operational Assistance Program is a source of funding for companies with the potential to attract angel investors (high net worth individuals), or venture capital in order to grow their operations. Invest Nebraska's regional New Venture Competitions are open to start-ups as well as existing businesses. Participants must be located in the region specific to the competition, or willing to locate to that particular region. In 2010, Invest Nebraska will organize five regional New Venture Competitions and one statewide competition, providing opportunities for Nebraska entrepreneurs and fueling job growth throughout the state.
In conjunction with our New Venture Competitions, Invest Nebraska will organize regional High School Competitions, encouraging entrepreneurship among teenagers. Additionally, Invest Nebraska organizes Venture Symposiums to educate Nebraska entrepreneurs about the various levels of capital funding, and to give accredited investors the opportunity to connect with potential angel investment opportunities. The symposiums are typically connected to our local Venture Competitions.
Invest Nebraska creates many other educational and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors and service providers to connect and and exchange ideas.
